Changing the signs at a hand washing station in hospitals from "Hand hygiene prevents you from catching diseases" to "Hand hygiene prevents patients from catching diseases" resulted in a 45% increase in use of soap or hand sanitizer.

Just goes to show doctors really do care more about their patients.

In Fight Club, when Edward Norton punches Brad Pitt near the end, we see some ad lib.

Norton was told to hit Pitt in the face, but at the last minute it was changed; Pitt wasn't aware. Norton went in and gave a real swing to the ear. Pitt's surprised, angry reaction "Why the ear, man?!" is genuine.

At the end of A New Hope, Mark Hamill jumps out of his X-Wing and as the crowd is cheering for him he hugs his friends saying "Carrie! Han!" in excitement. Calling his co-star by her real name. (Also dragon bones and architecture are still standing in the desert they shot in Tunisia.)

Harrison Ford wanted his character to die in The Empire Strikes Back, but Lucas said no because "Dead Han toys don't sell."

Luke's saber was supposed to be blue but decided on a green lightsaber in Return of the Jedi because of blue lightsaber blended in with the sky on Tatooine. You can even see blue saber in the promotional art for the film.

Didnt he lose the blue one when he lost his hand

Mayhaps he would've just ended up building another blue one?

On that note, Originally Darth Vader was going to say "Obi Wan killed your father" Instead of the line we all know he really did say.

Okay so lets clear some lightsaber facts up real quick:

The lightsabers were actually supposed to be white, but they decided to give them colored lightsabers as an artistic decision. It also helps you distinguish who's who. You can tell because again, the promo art has Luke holding a White lightsaber.



The lightsaber that Luke built was supposed to be blue, but they changed it to green because it blended in with the blue skies. He did lose the blue one (Anakin's original lightsaber) in the finale of Empire Strikes Back. The thought of another colored laser sword never really came up until they ran into that problem.

Also, David Prowse who was the man in the suit was dubbed over by James Earl Jones. So literally the only people on set who knew the actual line was Luke (for a reaction shot which was shot seperately), Jones, the director, the producer, the two screen writers, and George Lucas.
